The Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center deployed CSI Software's Spectrum NG on August 16, 2010 at Rice University in Houston, TX.

The facility is using all of the Spectrum NG campus recreation software core modules including Point of Sale and Member Management.

The Equipment Checkout module is being used by Rice University to rent outdoor equipment to students for white-water rafting, camping and rock climbing trips.

The Recreation Center was the first facility to use CSI Software's Access Control System (ACS), which allowed them to convert turnstiles within their facility's entrance into secure and fast access points.

About the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center
The mission of the Recreation Center is to encourage a lifetime of health and wellness for the students, faculty and staff of Rice University (Houston, Tex.) by promoting the physical, social and emotional benefits of physical activity. The 103,000-square-foot Recreation Center features recreation and competition pools, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, an indoor soccer and hockey arena, racquetball courts, a 9,000-square-foot weight and cardio workout room and four multipurpose rooms for group fitness and dance classes.
