STANFORD
UNIVERSITY SELECTS CSI SOFTWARE
Houston, TX May 22, 2008 CSI
Software, a leading provider of software and services for campus recreation
centers,
announced today that Stanford
University has chosen Spectrum NG, campus
recreation software by CSI Software as its new management
and scheduling software system for the Arrillaga Center for Sports
and Recreation.
"Stanford University is a central wellspring of Silicon Valley
innovation and inspiration" says Andy Wigderson, Vice President
of Sales and Marketing at CSI Software. "We are very excited to
have them as a customer".
Software as a Service and PCI Compliance Driving Forces
One of the driving forces behind Stanford's decision to select CSI Software
was their ability to offer a hosted solution which allows companies to
subscribe to software applications and outsource operating the back-end
infrastructure to the software vendor.
"While we have many customers using our hosting services" says
Andy Wigderson "Stanford University is our first campus recreation
customer to take advantage of this incredible technology".
"There are numerous benefits to the hosting model" says Andy
Wigderson. "For example, because we charge on a subscription basis,
the upfront capital costs are lower. This allows facilities with tight
capital budgets to migrate to our solution sooner rather than later.
Also, because we are hosting the actual data, all of the responsibilities
of PCI Compliance fall on us".
PCI Compliance was a mandatory requirement in Stanford University's
selection process. CSI Software is the only software vendor that
caters specifically
to the campus recreation market that is certified Level 1 PCI Compliant.
"CSI Software and Spectrum NG are certified Level 1 PCI and PABP
Compliant" says Andy Wigderson. "We are uniquely compliant
both as a software developer and as an application service provider"
