University of South Carolina Upstate Selects Spectrum NG by CSI Software

The Campus Recreation department at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, SC, has selected Spectrum NG campus recreation software by CSI Software to manage the unversity's wellness center.

The 60,000 square-foot facility offers activities such as intramural sports, outdoor recreation, group fitness, aquatics and sport clubs.

The department is looking forward to having a more sophisticated way of tracking their facility's usage and revenue through Spectrum NG.

Spectrum NG is also used by the University of South Carolina at Columbia

"We chose CSI for our campus recreation management program because the current in-house program we use is not as efficient as we would like," said Mark Ritter, Wellness Center and Campus Recreation Director. "CSI gives us not only the capability of tracking our faculty and staff members, but also the ability to really look at our student usage to determine who is entering our facility and when," Ritter said. "CSI gives us a much better capability of tracking our revenue, and since it is PCI compliant, it helps us maintain the level of security that our university demands," Ritter said. "We think that by maintaining a better record of memberships, we can offset some of the costs of the software," Ritter said.
